Frequently Asked Questions...
Realistic value of used 2000 Honda?
My grandson-in-law insists that his 2000 Honda, 4 cylinder, 2 door (no power windows, manual wind up or down) is worth $14,500.00. WHAT? I tried to tell him at most, it would be $1,450.00. He will not listen.
I can't figure out how to use the Kelly data on the computer to get an answer. I need a realistic figure to use because I am helping him fill out some legal papers that need the value of the vehicle entered. The car has several big skate-boarding decals pasted on the back and front, really grotesque, and not in pristine condition. It runs good and I am sure he takes care of it.
Also the "H" on the car may be Hyndai? Whatever it is he calls it an "accurate". Help!
Answer:
What? what kind of car is it?? I've never heard of a car called an "accurate" there is a car called an Accura, but if it is an Accura than it can't be a Honda or Hyndai. in any case, There is absolutely no way that car is worth anywhere near 14,000!! I have a 99 Honda Civic, 4 door automatic window's, the condition is superb (no stickers, no scratches,) my honda is fully loaded with all the options, in great condition. runs great too, never any problems. I paid 6,000 for it from a major car dealership two years ago. I also live in california, where most everything is more expensive than in some other states. Grandma, you are right, in the condition it is in, not being fully loaded, it is definitely not worth more than 1,450. if it is even worth that. Tell your grandson to pick up an auto trader magazine, and compare his car with others, and he will figure out that his car isn't worth much.

All About A-Boards, The Story
Restaurants use them to advertise daily specials. Florists and furniture stores utilize them with great success. So do clothing stores and even toy stores. Most every business can generate more income when using these signs. Although they're not usually very tall or wide, they're still extremely visible and effective at catching the eye of potential customers.
A-boards can be any color at all, and they can be made of many different materials, including wood, steel, polycarbonate, and fiberglass. They are very sturdy when they're spread open and standing on their thick legs.
These signs are also quite durable. The ones made for outdoor use can easily stand up to the harsh elements of the hot sun, snow, sleet, and rain. Overall, they'll last many years.
Many different manufacturers around the world make these wonderful signs. Prices vary depending on the size and the material used to manufacture them.
Usually these signs are delivered to the buyer with no writing on them. Then the buyer hires a sign painter to paint the copy onto the signs. On other occasions, a buyer simply goes to a sign store or a home supply store and states that he wants to order an A-board. He then also tells them what type of writing he wants inscribed on both sides.
The paint has to be resistant to scratches, rust and fading as well for it to last the longest amount of time. Many different companies can gladly custom design these signs for their customers right at their factories as well.
These signs can also be ordered from many online websites. Some sign companies have better reputations than others, so it's important to do some due diligence on them to see how long they've been in business and if they've had any consumer complaints with business regulating authorities.
You want to make sure you'll be getting a high quality, attractive sign for your money. A-boards have been around for many decades. They're used all over the world by businesses large and small.
This is because they're extremely effective at increasing a shop's sales. They are so visually striking that they can truly stop you in your tracks when the paint and design is done at the highest quality levels. Sometimes stick-on decals are used on these signs instead of paint.
They're heavy enough so that a strong wind won't topple them over, or make them tumble away. Usually they're left outside in front of a shop during business hours, and then brought back inside when the shop closes, mainly to prevent theft or damage from vandals.
Many shops have more than one of these signs. A restaurant might use one to announce the soup of the day, and another to feature a special chef's entrée. Coffee shops also regularly use these A-boards with excellent results. There are really few businesses that couldn't be greatly helped by using these signs, since they're so beneficial. Assigns.co.uk
