Which safety gate to choose?
Hi,
What's the best safety gate? I have a wooden railing to which I would permanently attach the gate. There is only one step that separates my kitchen from the main entrance but beyond that are the stairs to the basement . I'm not really worried about the step from the entrance to the kitchen as there is nothing there that my 14 month old can hurt herself with (she knows how to descend that step safely) but the stairs to the basement are another thing. There are so many gates available that serves different purposes but I want to make sure the one I do buy is sturdy enough to withstand a lot. The only criteria that I have is that the gate must swing.

I think I went to walmart and bought their cheapest white gate with a swing and it works great! Also, I went to target and bought the mesh gate and LOVE IT!
