Frequently Asked Questions...
How do you know if your toddler is being molested?
My best friend and her bf have two kids- a boy who's 2 1/2 and a girl who's 16 months. She knew her bf was molested by an uncle at age 6. She also knew that he was charged with rape of a teenage girl when he was 16-17. But today she found out that he was also accused of raping a 9 year old when he was 13.
She's starting to worry about the safety of her kids, and she asked me for advice. She said the 16 month old is constantly grinding/humping things. Like when she puts her in the carseat, she'll grind on the buckle until her face turns red. And the 2 1/2 year climbed on her when she was laying on her stomach and tried to pull down her underwear.
Are these warning signs? Are there others? How do you know when the kid can barely communicate? I suggested she put hidden cameras around the house. I don't know what else to suggest though. I don't want her to jump to conclusions. What do you recommend?
Answer:
grinding and humping??
YES these are definate signs... I would seriously bet that molestation has happened.
If she does not remove these children from this situation they will move on to experiment on each other.
These things could follow them for the rest of their lives.. and I am not sure how the mom could live with herself after it goes further.
It needs to stop now. If you think she is too scared to stand up to him, I would go to the authorities and share this information with them, and have them deal with this.
Children need to be protected, by whoever will have the guts to do it.

Keep Kids Safe in Your Dayton Ford
You never know when an accident may occur and if you travel around with kids on your Interstate Ford vehicle, it is wise to take precautions before something happens to ensure the safety of all kids.
Dayton's Ford dealership offers some tips to keep kids safe including:
Put Kids in Proper Seats
Infant car seats, toddler seats, and booster seats should all be used at age-appropriate times until the child is 8 years of age or 80 pounds and the seat belts fit their bodies properly. Interstate Ford can help you ensure the seats are properly installed on your Ford so be sure to visit our dealership in Dayton, OH.
Keep Them in the Back
Ford like most vehicle manufacturers place warnings in their vehicles about the importance of putting children in the back seat at least until the age of 12. The back seat is a much safer place for kids to be because in the event of an accident, the air bags can injury and even kill smaller children.
Remove Clutter
Busy families tend to spend a lot of time in their vehicles, leaving lots of toys and clutter in the back seat and on the floor. In the event of a crash, those objects can turn deadly when they are thrown around the car. Take the time to ensure your Dayton Ford is cleaned out before putting in the kids. Keep busy items in a secured bag and put everything else in the trunk or outside of the vehicle.
Always on Alert
Vehicle safety for kids doesn't mean it is just inside the car. Pay close attention when you are pulling in and out of your driveway and never let kids play in a parked or abandon car. They can easily get injured or even trapped. A car is not a playground.
